Cast on with the long-tail method and knit a 1x1 ribbed brim in the round. A single increase round gets your stitches ready for the lace, and then the lace and baby cable pattern takes over for the body. At the crown, each lace panel narrows while the cables continue up, and you'll switch to double-pointed needles as the stitch count drops. Close the top drawstring style, wet block, and watch the lace bloom.
